A Huge Thank You

We always want to begin our newsletter with a sincere thank you. The reason we’re able to do what we do is because of your prayers and generosity. Truly, from the bottom of our hearts—thank you for giving, praying, and believing in the calling God has placed on our lives. We are forever grateful.

Please know that every bit of fruit we see from giving our time to share the Gospel—you are a part of that. Your support is making an eternal impact.

What We Have Been Up To

In our last newsletter, we shared about our upcoming trip to the Philippines and Indonesia—and now, we’re SO excited to share what we saw God do during our time there!

This trip was honestly a step of faith. It didn’t make sense financially or practically, especially with our Bible school starting in just one week. But we felt the Lord prompting us to go, even when we didn’t have all the answers. And we’re so glad we did.

We’ll be sharing a few stories of what we were able to do and how we saw God move—but more than anything, this trip was a powerful opportunity for us to refocus our hearts on the Lord. Since being married, we’ve been in a very restful and comfortable season, and this trip reignited our passion and love for missions in a beautiful and challenging way.

The Philippines

While in the Philippines, we had the special opportunity to reconnect with a contact from my very first outreach three years ago. She and her husband pastor a church just outside of Manila. It was such a joy to catch up with her, visit their church, and share our testimonies with their community.

We were able to share our testimonies at church!

Spending time with them was incredibly fun and encouraging. One of the highlights was meeting a group of kids from their church—we connected with them instantly. We played together for a few hours, laughed a lot, and had the chance to pray over them and speak encouragement into their lives before we left. It was such a sweet and memorable time.

a group of kids we got to hangout with and pray for!

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another

Indonesia

We had soooo much fun in Indonesia! Andrew and I keep saying it’s our favorite trip we’ve ever taken. One of the best parts was getting to spend so much quality time with my sister and her family.

This trip was really different from any of our previous ones because, for the most part, we got to just be “tourists.” And honestly, it was the best. We saw dolphins, went to a water park, explored coffee shops, sat by the pool, and played tons of board games. It was such a fun, refreshing time.

Alongside all the fun, we also had the chance to reconnect with some people from my previous outreach to Indonesia—one of them being a family I had grown especially close to. We spent a few days visiting and catching up with them, and it was so refreshing and encouraging to hear all that God is doing in Indonesia through their lives.

Testimony from Indonesia

A few years ago, during my outreach to Indonesia I met a very precious 15 year old girl. She had attended some of the English clubs we were hosting, and we quickly connected and became friends. Over the course of several meetups, we had the opportunity to share with her about Jesus and His deep love for her.

She told us that she had previously had dreams of Jesus, where He was asking her to follow Him—but at the time, she didn’t feel ready. Coming from a completely Hindu family, she knew that choosing to follow Jesus would be a very hard decision. Even after we left, we continued to pray for her, though we had no idea how she was doing.

But PRAISE THE LORD—He has been so faithful.

While we were back on our recent trip, we were able to reconnect with her and hear how she’s doing—and wow, God has been MOVING in her life. She shared with me that she now fully believes in and follows Jesus 100%!

We spent a long time talking—sharing stories, and walking through the highs and lows of her journey with the Lord. It was such an encouraging and powerful time. She now goes to local church, is involved in small groups, has Godly mentors in her life, and says she loves to read her Bible every day.

I asked her if she’d be willing to write down part of her story so it could encourage others with what God has done in her life. She was so excited, and right after our meetup, she sent me this:

“When I was 14 years old (in senior high school), I once had a dream that I was in a church, and the Lord Jesus came to me. He said to me, “My child, follow Me.” He gave me a cross necklace, sprinkled me with water, and baptized me.

March 28, 2024 — I was 17 years old. But in the days before that, I had already made up my mind to take my own life on that very date — my birthday — by jumping from the third floor of my school building. It was a moment I will never forget. Depression, anxiety, and fear were all tangled together. But in the end, I didn’t go through with it. Because at exactly 12:00am on March 28, I fell asleep for a while and had a dream where the Lord Jesus said to me: “My child, live once again.” Suddenly, I woke up at 12:05am and cried. I had goosebumps and was overwhelmed, realizing how kind and loving the Lord Jesus is — He reminded me how precious I am.

Two months ago, I was very hungry and didn’t have any money to buy food. I prayed to the Lord Jesus to provide something for me. About 20 minutes later, my father suddenly gave me 50,000 rupiah and said, “Buy whatever you want with this money.” After that, I bought bread and milk.”

I hope that this is an encouragement to you of how awesome our God is. It really encouraged me that even if I never see the fruit of planting seeds God is still moving and faithful to His children.

 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all

Psalms 34:17-19

What Now?

In our last newsletter, we shared all the details about our decision to join EBI this fall. In case you missed it, here’s a quick summary:

After finishing our time with YWAM and getting married, we’ve been praying about our next steps. While our heart is for long-term missions, we feel God is leading us to first spend a season going deeper in His Word.

We’re so excited to share that we’ve been accepted to Ethnos 360 Bible Institute—a two-year Bible school with a strong missions focus. We truly believe this season will be foundational for our future in missions, and we’re filled with peace about this next step!

In just one week, we’ll be starting our 30-hour road trip to Wisconsin! We’re so excited for this new season and can’t wait to see all that God is going to do.

    • Pray for financial provision for our day to day needs in this next season.

  • Our Friend Who Now Follows Jesus

    • Pray for continued strength, growth, and protection over her as she walks with Jesus in a challenging family and cultural environment.

Thank you for partnering with us!!!

We’re so thankful for the ways you’ve supported us over the past few years—it’s meant the world, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you!

As we step into this next season at Bible school, we’re grateful that some of our current financial partners are continuing to support us. We’ll also be able to work part-time, which is a huge blessing. God has already been providing in amazing ways!

We’ll keep sending regular updates so you can follow along with what we’re learning and how God is moving. If you ever feel led to support us in prayer or financially, we’d love to connect. Your continued partnership means so much as we prepare for full-time ministry
