A Long Over Due Update- Thank You

As we begin this (very long overdue—sorry!) newsletter, we want to start by simply saying: thank you. These past few months have been absolutely monumental and life-shifting for us. Through every step, we’ve felt the covering of your prayers and the impact of your support. It’s because of your faithfulness that we’ve been able to walk in such an abundant and grace-filled season.

We are deeply grateful to the Lord for each one of you. It’s so clear to us that He has intentionally placed you in our lives, and we don’t take that lightly. Thank you for supporting us through every step

We Are Married!!!!!!!!

We are SO incredibly excited to share with you that we are officially married! We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for how faithful the Lord has been in bringing us together over the past few years. It’s such a joy to now step into this new season of life as husband and wife, serving Him side by side.

As we begin this journey together, we’d love for you to be praying with us—both for our marriage and for clarity and boldness as we follow where God is leading us. Thank you for being part of our story. We’re so thankful for your love, support, and prayers!

What Now?

This has been such a huge question for us to answer, and not an easy decision either.

After finishing our two-year commitment staffing with YWAM Kona and getting married, our next steps have been a big unknown for us. We’ve had so many options and have watched doors open and close as we’ve tried to make this decision. After much prayer and seeking counsel, we feel that before we go long term- which is our goal in all of this- we’re supposed to dedicate a season to studying the Word.

Over the past few years in YWAM, we’ve grown so much in our understanding of the Bible and have had so many opportunities to be discipled through the Word, and that foundation has been life-changing. But now, we feel like God is calling us to go even deeper.

We know how important it is to build a strong foundation in the Word—not just for ourselves, but for our marriage, our future family, and the people we’re going to reach. We don’t want to go out just with passion, but with truth and understanding, so we can teach and disciple in a way that’s grounded, accurate, and life-giving.

We’re so ready to be out on the field and amidst the unreached people of the world, but we feel like this is a season that’s going to be super important for our future in missions. And even though waiting isn’t always easy, we trust that this is the right next step.

Sooo what does this mean?

We are so excited and thankful that we’ve been accepted to Ethnos 360 Bible Institute! This is a two-year Bible school starting this August where we’ll get to study and immerse ourselves in the Word. For two years straight, we’ll be diving deep into Scripture and really building a strong foundation in truth, which we’re so thankful for.

EBI is also a missions-sending organization, which is one of the reasons we felt so drawn to it. While we’re learning the Word, there will be a big emphasis on missions—so we’ll be keeping that focus in front of us the whole time, which feels so aligned with our hearts and calling.

The school is in Waukesha Wisconsin, so it’s definitely going to be cold and totally new for us! But we’re excited for the change and even more excited to have the chance to be in one place and settle down for the next two years. We feel so much peace about this season and can’t wait to see all that God is going to do.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

The Philippines and Indonesia

In just a few weeks, we’re heading to the Philippines and Indonesia!

About a year ago, Andrew and I were praying about what to do after getting married, and I really felt like we were supposed to go to the Philippines (no idea why!). For whatever reason, I haven’t been able to shake that feeling—and after lots of prayer, we’ve decided to just go! It’s not the most practical thing to do, and honestly kind of random, but we both feel like we’re supposed to start our marriage with obedience, even when it doesn’t totally make sense.

While in the Philippines, we’ll be working with a sweet friend I met during my outreach there. She and her husband (who’s the pastor of a local church) also just got married, which is really special. We’re excited to encourage them, serve however we can, and also just learn from them and their community. Please be praying for us as we go—that we would be sensitive to what God is doing and that He would use this time in ways only He can.

This was taken when we said goodbye to my sister and her family leaving to Indonesia

While we’re on that side of the world, we’re also planning to hop over to Indonesia to visit my sister, her husband, and their baby! We are SO excited to see them in person, spend time with family, and get a glimpse of how they’re doing and what God is doing through their ministry there.

We’ll definitely keep you guys posted along the way—we’re just as curious as you are to see what God has in store for this trip!

Photo Updates:)

Andrew’s parents came down to Alabama a few weeks ago to visit my family! We had so much fun playing games, going up for a flight, going to church, and just having our families together!

We know we are only 2 months in, but marriage is the best!!! We have been having sooooo much fun and we are so grateful for each other.

We’ve been working really hard on preparing my late grandparents’ house for an estate sale — and we’re so grateful to share that it was a huge success!

Financial Update

We are so beyond thankful for all of the ways you’ve supported and sown into our lives and ministry. Truly, we could not have done these last three years without each of you!

We’ve already updated our monthly financial partners about what the next few years will look like, but we wanted to take a moment to fill all of you in on what’s ahead as we step into this new season of Bible school.

While we’re in school, we’ll be able to work part-time, which is going to be a huge help. We’re incredibly grateful that many of our current partners have chosen to continue giving and supporting us during this time. We know financial support is a common question, so we just wanted to be transparent and let you know that God has been providing in amazing ways!

We’re planning to keep sending out regular newsletters to keep you in the loop with what we’re learning and doing. And as always, if you ever feel led to partner with us financially or in prayer, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Looking ahead, there will be many days when we’ll really need your continued support as we prepare to go full-time in ministry.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
